In 2017, International Ardbeg Day was dedicated to the great Islay Island distillery. We chose the fabulous underwater realm as the overriding theme and a sunk ship in St. Petersburg as the venue.
The party was held at a venue fashioned in the manner of a sunk ship that for that night became part of an authentic underwater realm. Rather than simple viewers, the guests were active participants in a mysterious show. They met with fascinating inhabitants of the underwater world and characters from Scottish legends.
In 2018, we chose a relaxing and conceptually appropriate space for the party — the Swan Lake restaurant and the 8 Oz bar at Gorky Park. We added hippie-style entertainment and a performance by the one and only Nike Borzov.
